Simon Short -Previous captain. Right hand bat but bowling still traumatised by being walloped for 30 off an over when playing Ambulance Service in 2008.

 Jamie Bevan - The only survivor from the original team which represented SURFC back in 1991 in its first ever home fixture. Like a good bottle of Merrydown Cider, he seems to improve with age.

 Andrew Forrester - Wicket keeper/scorer alrounder. Responsible for introducing the text message method of team communication during his stint as captain. Occasionally on time for the start of games!

Simon Rees -Hard hitting batsman and regular wicket taker.  Superstitious player who has to consume a couple of Strongbows pre match to calm the nerves.

 Lee Evans - Too many on and off field tales to tell on this page but has promised to serialise his memoirs in the coming weeks.

Neil Caswell- 2010 captain. Has introduced the 1 over bowling spell.Famous for the Nail ball of 2004 which shocked the cricket world in much the same way as Shane Warne's first ball in test cricket that dismissed Mike Gatting in 1993.

Darren Hughes- (Sponsored by Paint Concept) Fringe player under the Neil Caswell regime. Fighting for a recall with impressive performances for feeder club Swansea Civil Service.

2009 Batting average 42

David Caswell- Loyal Uplands servant who turned his back on possible Paralympic success in the 2012 London Games when he underwent corrective eye and ear surgery in the spring of 2008 in order to prolong his cricket career.

Matthew Davies - Former Welsh Youth Cricket international and Slimmer of the Year 2008 has proved a great addition to the SURFC squad. 

Nigel Jones - 

Mr SURFC (alongside The Hon. Secretary) The club's only overseas qualified player.

Paul Beck - Made a courageous and successful comeback after a horrific leg injury this season. A maths teacher who rarely has problems adding up his batting scores.  Appreciates fine red wine!

Dan Holohan - Second generation Uplands Holohan. Future captain material, possibly the summer of 2020??

Ian Lewis- Current First XV captain is never afraid of challenge. Enjoying the experience of sitting in the home dressing room celebrating post game wins!

Neil Lewis - "Isosceles" has become first team regular with his hard hitting opening batting. Specialist deep mid-wicket fielder. 

Johnny Davies- Available if there's no surf, the fish aren't biting or his work commitments allow. Featured in 3 games in 2 seasons!

Mark Evans -  Great addition to the team with his batting, bowling and fielding. Purchased white trousers last season and is threatening to buy a white shirt this year.

Andrew Thornton - Chocolates has been moved into coaching this year after an unfortunate drinking accident. Currently a fielding consultant, Chocs will hope to win his place back later in the season. 

Ryan Wiltshire - Spinner and right handed bat. Played the first reverse sweep ever seen at SURFC. Getting taller every game!!

Stuart Kelly 

ICT expert, possible replacement web editor and a welcome addition to the Jackarmy debating society.
